Optical Assistant – Surrey Area
Salary: 26,000 – 28,000 (DOE)
Full Time | No Sundays | 1 Saturday off per Month

The Role
This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll be involved in all aspects of the patient journey and play an important part in the day-to-day running of the practice.
Your duties will include:
” Welcoming patients into the practice and delivering excellent customer service
” Supporting patients with frame styling and lens choices
” Pre-screening and assisting the Optometrists where required
” Booking appointments and managing diaries efficiently
” Handling collections, fittings, adjustments, and minor repairs
” Processing spectacle and contact lens orders
” Managing patient records and general administration duties
” Answering patient queries both face-to-face and over the phone
” Keeping the practice clean, organised, and presentable at all times
” Working closely with the team to ensure a smooth patient experience throughout
What We’re Looking For
” Previous Optical Assistant experience is essential
” Strong customer service and communication skills
” Enthusiastic, hardworking, and keen to continue developing your skills
” Someone who takes pride in delivering a high standard of care
” A positive team player with a professional attitude
” Comfortable working in a busy practice environment
The Package
” Salary 26,000 – 32,000 depending on experience
” No Sundays or Bank Holidays
” 1 Saturday off per month
” 28 days holiday including bank holidays
