Salary: Up to £25,000–£26,500 + Bonus
Hours: Full-time

About the Practice
This is a well-established and successful optical practice with a strong reputation and a friendly, supportive team environment. The store is modern and spacious, spread across two floors with six testing rooms and a busy on-site lab, all focused around delivering excellent patient care.
You’ll be working alongside experienced partners, optometrists, lab technicians, and retail staff in a collaborative setting. The location is easily accessible with excellent transport links, nearby parking, and free street parking available.

The Role
As an Optical Assistant, you’ll play an important part in delivering a smooth and professional patient journey from start to finish. From pre-screening through to dispensing, you’ll help maintain the high level of customer care the practice is known for.
• Confidently dispense to all levels.
• Support busy clinics and work efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
• Work within a supportive, patient-focused culture rather than a heavily target-driven environment.
• Share ideas, contribute feedback, and help support continuous improvement within the practice.

• Basic salary between £25,500 – £26,500 + Performance Bonus

Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for an experienced Optical Assistant with a minimum of 12 months’ experience within optics who can quickly settle into a busy practice environment. You’ll be a confident dispenser with strong communication skills and a positive attitude, someone who enjoys working as part of a team and is keen to develop within a growing business.
