Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 DOE + Bonus

The Opportunity
We’re working with a well-established independent opticians in Surrey looking for an experienced Dispensing Optician Manager to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who enjoys hands-on dispensing, leading a team and delivering high-quality patient care.
You’ll have the opportunity to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the practice, develop colleagues and contribute to its continued success.
Whether you’re already managing a practice or you’re an experienced Dispensing Optician looking to take the next step, this could be a great opportunity.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality dispensing and personalised patient care
- Advising patients on frames, lenses and more complex prescriptions
- Leading, motivating and developing the practice team
- Overseeing the smooth day-to-day running of the practice
- Supporting staff training, rotas and performance
- Managing stock, suppliers and general practice administration
- Monitoring commercial performance and identifying improvements
- Maintaining excellent standards of patient care and service
Salary & Benefits
- £35,000 – £40,000 basic salary DOE + bonus
- No Sundays or Bank Holidays
- One Saturday off per month

What Are They Looking For?
You’ll need to be a qualified, GOC-registered Dispensing Optician with:
- Strong dispensing and technical knowledge
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Confidence leading and motivating colleagues
- Good organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Commercial awareness and a proactive attitude
- A genuine passion for patient care
Previous management experience would be an advantage but isn’t essential. Experienced Dispensing Opticians ready to step into management are encouraged to apply.
