The Opportunity
We are working with a well-established, independent optical group looking to recruit an experienced Mobile Dispensing Optician to support its practices across South Staffordshire.

The Role
As a Mobile Dispensing Optician, you’ll work across a number of established independent practices, providing high-quality dispensing services and supporting experienced optical teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Dispensing spectacles to patients with a wide range of prescriptions, requirements and budgets.
- Working with an extensive selection of frames, from NHS voucher ranges through to premium designer eyewear, including Gucci and Prada.
- Delivering exceptional patient care and building lasting relationships.
- Supporting OCT and shared care pathways where appropriate.
- Working closely with Optometrists and Optical Assistants to ensure a smooth patient journey.
- Sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues across the practices.
- Maintaining the high standards of service associated with a respected independent optical business.
What We’re Looking For
- You must be a GOC-registered Dispensing Optician.
- Ideally, at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience.
- Confident dispensing across all prescription levels.
- Excellent communication skills and a warm, approachable personality.
- Comfortable working across different practice locations.
- A genuine passion for patient care rather than simply hitting sales targets.
- Someone looking for stability and long-term career development.
Experience within an independent practice would be advantageous, but personality, attitude and the ability to work well with others are equally important.
Working Hours
40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday: Practices typically open 9.00am–5.30pm.
- Saturday: Practices typically close at 5.00pm.
- Sunday: Closed.
