The Role: What You’ll Be Responsible For
As the Dispensing Optician Manager, you’ll oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the practice while playing a key role in shaping its long-term success. You’ll lead with professionalism, foster a positive team culture, and ensure patients receive an outstanding, personalised experience every time.
Key Responsibilities:
” Manage the daily operations of a high-performing, patient-focused optical practice
” Lead, mentor, and develop a close-knit team of optical professionals
” Conduct Rolling Reviews, team meetings, and individual appraisals
” Handle staffing rotas, recruitment, and performance management
” Resolve customer and staff concerns with discretion, empathy, and confidence
” Support business planning and contribute to the future growth of the practice
” Maintain compliance with GOC standards and uphold premium service delivery

What We’re Looking For
” A GOC-registered Dispensing Optician
” Proven experience managing a practice or leading a team
” Excellent communication and leadership skills
” Strong commercial awareness and dedication to high-end service
” Calm, confident, and capable in challenging situations
