OPTICAL ASSISTANT – EDINBURGH – CLOSED ON SUNDAYS
We’re working with a well-established and highly respected optical and audiology practice, known for its strong community presence and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. This modern, forward-thinking store offers a supportive team environment, access to the latest technology, and a genuine focus on professional development.
Salary: up to 26,500 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Full time
Location: Edinburgh
Experience: Dispensing to all levels
YOU MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 12 MONTHS EXPERIENCE WORKING WITHIN OPTICS. IF NOT, YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY REJECTED
Responsibilities:
- Dispense to all levels, including complex prescriptions
- Conduct pre-screening and contact lens teaches
- Handle frame styling, fitting, adjustments and collections
- Advise patients on the best lens and frame options
- Manage reception and admin duties

What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 12 months’ optical experience
- Solid dispensing and pre-testing knowledge
- Team player with great communication skills
- Genuinely customer-focused and professional
- Eager to grow and progress in optics
