This large, well established and well-known optician are now looking for an Optical Assistant to join their team in the Worthing area. You will be joining a large team of 55+, in a professional yet clinical environment. This opportunity will be working full time, 8:30am to 5:30pm or 9:30am (9 to 4:30 on Suns), including one weekend day.
YOU MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 12 MONTHS EXPERIENCE WORKING WITHIN OPTICS.
IF NOT, YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY REJECTED.
Competitive salary depending on experience – 24,000 to 27,000
Bonus scheme – based on Average Order Value (Up to 500- 600 per month)

Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant
The role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches.
You will also be required to carry out frame styling, adjustments, collections and give patients advice on best options.
Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice.
Requirements of the Optical Assistant
As an Optical Assistant within this practice you will work on the shopfloor in the dispensing team.
You will have a minimum of 12 months’ experience within optics and will be able to dispense to all levels.
Be able to work as part of a team and communicate well.
Looking for an ambitious, career-driven, enthusiastic person.
As a member of the stores team you will have a valued input with best practice and clinical compliance.
Compensation for the Optical Assistant
For your efforts a competitive salary of up to 27,000 is on offer as well as a rewarding sales based bonus that can look to earn you up to an additional 500- 600 per month.
You will also have the opportunity to develop your career and progress in either clinical (DO Course), management or even in Audiology which ever path you want to take you will be supported through it.
