- Full GOC registration is essential.
About the Role:
Our client, a reputable independent group with two practices in the Cambridgeshire area, is seeking an experienced Qualified Dispensing Optician to join their team on a full-time, 5-day basis. You’ll be part of a knowledgeable team of 7-8 optical professionals, including an Optometrist, Contact Lens Optician, and other experienced Dispensing Opticians, all dedicated to supporting one another. With 5-6 testing days and a 3-day Contact Lens clinic each week, you’ll be joining a busy and varied practice environment.
Your role will involve:
- Delivering outstanding customer service to a loyal and diverse patient base.
- Dispensing to all levels, conducting pre-screen assessments, and providing contact lens education.
- Supporting colleagues with expertise and offering guidance as needed.
- Assisting with occasional reception and administrative duties.
What We’re Looking For:
- GOC registered and up-to-date with CET points.
- Team-oriented, ideally with experience working in an independent practice setting.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary of up to £27,500 for the right experience.
- Additional benefits include GOC fees covered and matched pension contributions.
- Working hours: Mon-Fri, 09:00 – 17:30 (1-hour lunch); Sat, 09:00 – 16:30.
- No Sunday shifts.
