Salary: Up to £26,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Full time | half day Saturday and closed on a Sunday
Days: 4.5 days a week

We’re working with a fantastic, long-established independent opticians in North Yorkshire, looking for an experienced Optical Assistant to join their friendly team.

Important Requirement:
Ideally a minimum of 6 months’ experience working within optics and ability to dispense to all levels

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Welcoming patients and creating a friendly, professional experience
- Assisting customers with frame selection and offering personalised advice
- Supporting dispensing and day-to-day optical duties
- Helping with appointments, collections and general practice administration
- Building lasting relationships with patients and ensuring they feel genuinely looked after
- Working closely with the wider team to maintain the practice’s excellent reputation
What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for an experienced Optical Assistant who enjoys delivering excellent customer service and takes genuine pride in looking after patients.
- Previous experience working in an optical practice
- A friendly, approachable personality and a genuine passion for patient care
- Someone confident building relationships and making patients feel valued
- An appreciation for quality eyewear and a personalised dispensing experience
- A positive, flexible attitude and a willingness to support colleagues
- A real team player who enjoys working within a smaller, close-knit environment
