Optical Assistant – West Sussex
Location: West Sussex
Salary: 27,000 – 30,000
Hours: Full-time, 5 days per week including 1 weekend day

We’re currently recruiting for an Optical Assistant to join the team at a busy high-street practice with a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their optical career.
The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Optical Assistant to join an established team and become an important part of the day-to-day running of the practice.
The team is currently expanding, with opportunities available for people who want to develop their skills and progress within optics.
The Practice
The practice has 4 testing rooms and is part of a wider team of around 24 colleagues across two local practices.
You’ll benefit from excellent transport links, with the train station just 3 minutes away, nearby bus routes and staff parking available around 5 minutes from the practice.
The Role
As an Optical Assistant, you’ll be involved in:
” Providing excellent customer service from start to finish
” Supporting customers with frame and lens choices
” Dispensing to a high standard
” Carrying out adjustments and general optical duties
” Supporting the wider practice team
” Helping ensure every customer receives a positive experience
Previous optical experience is important, with 12 months’ experience preferred, although more experienced candidates are very welcome.
Salary & Benefits
” 27,000 – 30,000 basic salary
” Monthly bonus of around 150
” 28 days’ holiday
” Full-time, 5 days per week
” 1 weekend day required
