The Practice
This is a large, busy high street practice with a well-established patient base and a team who work together to deliver a high standard of service.

The Team
You’ll be joining an experienced optical team where everyone plays an important role in keeping the practice running smoothly.
With a mixture of experienced colleagues and opportunities for further training, there’s plenty of scope to learn, build confidence and progress your career.
The practice is looking for someone who can settle into the team, take pride in their dispensing and contribute positively to the patient experience.
The Role
As an Optical Assistant, you’ll be involved in the day-to-day running of the practice, with a particular focus on dispensing and patient care.
Your responsibilities will include:
” Dispensing spectacles and helping patients choose suitable frames and lenses
” Offering friendly, knowledgeable advice throughout the patient journey
” Supporting the wider team during busy periods
” Building relationships with patients and delivering excellent customer service
” Contributing towards the practice’s dispensing performance
” Maintaining a professional, welcoming environment
About You
Our client is particularly interested in someone who:
” Has previous experience working as an Optical Assistant
” Is confident dispensing spectacles, ideally including single vision lenses as a minimum
” Has a friendly, approachable personality and enjoys patient interaction
” Can work comfortably in a busy, fast-paced environment
” Is a reliable team player with a positive attitude
” Is keen to learn and develop within optics
Experience is welcome, but ability and attitude matter more.
Whether you’ve been working in optics for several years or have around six months’ experience and already feel confident dispensing, we’d be happy to have a conversation.
Salary & Benefits
” Salary: Up to 27,000 per annum
” Bonus: Team-based incentive scheme, with potential earnings of approximately 400- 1,000 per month
” Hours: 37.5 hours per week across 5 days
” Weekends: One weekend day required
” Holiday: 28 days including Bank Holidays
” Development: Opportunities to complete optical qualifications
” Career progression: Scope to develop your skills and take on further responsibilities
