Salary: Up to £26,500 + bonus up to 6,500 (OTE £33,000)
Hours: Full time
Days : Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm
Location: Mobile role covering care & patient homes (Northwest focus)
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Optical Assistant who’s ready to step away from the traditional high street environment and move into a more varied, patient-focused role.
You’ll be working across care home settings, supporting patients who are often unable to access standard optical services. Every day brings something different, and your work will have a genuine, visible impact on people’s quality of life.
With a fully expensed company car, no weekends and a supportive team environment, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys independence, organisation, and meaningful patient interaction.
Important Requirement:
You must have a minimum of 12 months’ experience working within optics. Applications without this will not be considered.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Carry out pre-screening tests and support the Optometrist during clinics
- Dispense spectacles with care, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Fit and deliver glasses, ensuring comfort and suitability for each patient
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical and patient records
- Provide a high level of customer care to ensure a positive patient experience
- Repair and adjust spectacles with precision and professionalism
- Work independently across multiple care home locations
What We’re Looking For
- At least 1 year of optical experience is essential
- Experience in hear care would be highly beneficial
- Experience within a care home or mobile optical setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organised, proactive, and confident working independently
- Full UK manual driving licence (essential)
