YOU MUST HAVE 12 MONTHS EXPERIENCE IN AN OPTICIANS DISPENSING TO ALL LEVELS OR YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE REJECTED
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Dispensing Optician to join a highly respected independent optical group in the beautiful Forest of Dean area. This family-owned business has built an outstanding reputation across its local communities, offering a genuinely patient-focused service with very little competition in the surrounding towns.
The company operates multiple well-established practices across market town and village locations, with flexibility around branch placement depending on where the successful candidate lives.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a professional independent environment where quality of care comes first. The practices are busy, well-supported, and offer excellent long-term progression opportunities including management, CLO training, and future pathway development.
What’s on Offer?
- Salary up to £35,000 depending on experience
- Profit- bonus
- GOC and ABDO fees paid
- 20 days holiday + bank holidays

- Support with CET and further development

About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a qualified Dispensing Optician or close to qualification
- Have a genuine passion for patient care
- Enjoy building long-term customer relationships
- Be confident dispensing a wide variety of lenses and frames
- Want to be part of a supportive independent environment
- Have a professional and approachable manner
Experienced Optical Assistants looking to progress into DO training are also encouraged to apply.
