Optical Assistant – Coventry
Full-Time – £26,000
YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST 12 MONTHS EXPERIENCE IN OPTICS OR YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE REJECTED
We’re currently working with a respected independent optical practice in Coventry that’s looking to add an experienced Optical Assistant to their established team. This is a calm, supportive environment where you’ll be trusted to manage your responsibilities without unnecessary pressure, while still contributing to a team that takes pride in delivering a high standard of care.
The Role
This is a hands-on position where you’ll be involved across the full patient journey. You’ll need to be confident in all aspects of dispensing and comfortable working in a steady, patient-focused practice.
Key responsibilities include:
• Dispensing a broad range of frames and lenses
• Providing a consistently high level of customer service
• Supporting the clinical team with daily operations
• Building strong relationships with patients and maintaining a welcoming practice environment
What We’re Looking For
• A minimum of 12 months’ experience within optics
• Confident dispensing at all levels
• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented
• Comfortable working in a relaxed but accountable setting
• Experience using systems such as Socrates would be beneficial, though not essential
Salary & Benefits
• Salary: £26,000
• Holiday allowance: 28 days plus bank holidays
