Optical Assistant – Greater Manchester | 40 Hours | Saturday + Alternate Sunday | North West

If you’re an experienced Optical Assistant looking for variety, progression, and a supportive team environment, this could be the perfect role for you. You’ll be joining a large, busy store in a shopping centre with excellent opportunities to grow your career—particularly towards your Dispensing Optician qualification.
What’s on Offer:
• 40 hours per week
• Monday to Saturday: 08:30 – 17:30 (45 min lunch)
• Sunday (alternate): 10:30 – 16:30 (30 min lunch)
• No late nights
• Competitive salary – £25,812 per year
• Very strong bonus structure – £400 to £2,000 per month
• 28 days annual leave
• Opportunity to progress towards a Dispensing Optician course
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Assisting the optometrists and supporting the wider team
• Dispensing and fitting spectacles
• Providing excellent patient care in a busy shopping centre environment
• Supporting both contact lens and audiology clinics
• Contributing to a positive, high-performing team culture
About You:
• Experience as an Optical Assistant is desirable (around 9 months) but not essential if you have strong sales ability
• Ambitious and motivated to progress towards a Dispensing Optician qualification
• Friendly, patient-focused, and confident working in a busy store
• Excited by the opportunity to develop skills and grow your career
