Responsibilities of the Dispensing Optician
In this role, you will have key responsibilities that you will need to carry out:

You must be able to dispense at all levels and conduct pre-screen tests as well as contact lens teaches

You must be able to carry out frame styling on your clientele and give your patients options that are personal to their needs.

You must be able to handle reception duties in a friendly and helpful manner.

You must be able to ensure that all aspects of the practice run smoothly and carry out general admin during low times in the day.

You must be able to mentor and train new staff that join the team, once you are comfortable in your role.
Requirements of the Dispensing Optician
Before starting out at the practice, you will have to meet the minimum requirements to work in this position:

You must be flexible in learning how to deliver clinical excellence through your own experience and our clients training.

You must be able to contribute some ideas of marketing the business.

You must be able to develop your team in weaker areas of their training and ensure that they are working in a friendly and personable way.

You must have a customer focused approach and be able to work closely with customers and colleagues within the practice.
