Responsibilities of the Dispensing Optician
You will have a number of important duties to carry out in this role, some of these include:

You must be able to build relationships with members of your team and new clients that enter the practice.
-
You must be able to assist your team by carrying out essential day-to-day activities such as maintenance of the practice and other admin roles i.e. answering phone calls, stock taking and dispensing products.

You must be able to carry out at least 8 dispenses a day (on average) to the best of your ability, based on experience.

You must be able to use the latest cutting-edge equipment for a range of tests.
Requirements of the Dispensing Optician

You must be a Fully Qualified and GOC registered Dispensing Optician with previous experience working in a fast-paced clinical environment.

You must be able to dispense across all levels.

You must have a friendly attitude towards members of your team and people in the practice.

You must have a strong work ethic and a willingness to develop your own training.
-
You must have a customer focused approach to your work, whilst ensuring that you can fully satisfy each clients medical needs.
