Optometrist – Independent Practice
Full-Time | Initially 4 Days Per Week | Up to £75,000 Basic Salary

Inspired Recruitment Group is delighted to be working with a highly respected independent optical practice seeking an experienced Optometrist to join their friendly and professional team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a completely private environment where patient care always comes first. With generous testing times, state-of-the-art equipment, and complete clinical freedom, you’ll have everything you need to provide the highest standard of eye care without the pressures often found in volume-driven practices.
About the Practice
This long-established independent practice has built an outstanding reputation for exceptional patient care and clinical excellence. With a loyal and affluent patient base, the focus is firmly on delivering a premium experience through personalised care, advanced technology, and high-quality optical products.
The Role
- Initially 4 days per week, progressing to full-time
- Core working days are Monday, Friday, and alternate Saturdays, with flexibility on the remaining day(s)
- 45-minute testing times as standard
- Fully private patient base with no NHS work
- Supported by an experienced Dispensing Optician and Contact Lens Optician
- Three fully equipped consulting rooms, including a dedicated contact lens clinic
- Modern, high-specification clinical equipment
- Excellent clinical freedom with a genuine emphasis on patient care rather than sales targets
What We’re Looking For
To be considered for this opportunity you will need:
- Fully qualified and GOC registered Optometrist
- Previous experience working as an Optometrist
- Confident providing exceptional clinical care within a private practice environment
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding patient experiences
Please note that this position is not suitable for newly qualified Optometrists.
Salary & Benefits
- Up to £75,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
- GOC fees paid
- AOP membership paid
- 28 days annual leave
