Salary: Starting salary of £26,925 ( DOE)
Hours: Full time | 40 hours per week | Saturday or Sunday required
Location: Wirral
Experience: Must be able to dispense to all levels
We’re working with a well-established high-street practice in Wirral that’s looking for an experienced Optical Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team.
You’ll be involved across the patient journey, including pre-screening, frame selection, dispensing and aftercare, so this would suit someone who enjoys variety and being hands-on within the practice.
There’s a strong team around you, ongoing training and plenty of opportunity to develop, making this a great option if you’re looking for somewhere you can feel settled while still progressing your optical career.
Important Requirement:
You must have a minimum of 12 months’ experience working within optics. Applications without this will not be considered.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Dispensing and providing advice on lenses and products
- Pre-screening customers ahead of their eye examination
- Helping customers choose suitable frames
- Adjustments, collections and aftercare
- Working confidently in a busy, customer-focused optical environment
- Building rapport and delivering a friendly, personal service
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 12 months’ optical experience
- Confident with both dispensing and pre-screening
- A great communicator and natural team player
- Someone who truly values great customer service
- A professional with ambition to progress within optics
