Optical Assistant – Full Time (New Malden)
Salary: 26,000- 28,000 DOE
Hours: 5 days per week (1 weekend day essential)

About the Role
We are looking for two enthusiastic and customer-focused Optical Assistants to join our friendly, high-street practice. With 14 team members, 3 test rooms, and a reputation for offering exceptional patient care in a chilled, non-micromanaged environment, this is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to grow and develop within optics.
What You’ll Be Doing
-Providing a warm, professional welcome to all patients
-Dispensing to all levels, including complex prescriptions
-Carrying out pre-screening and supporting the clinical team
-Assisting with minor eye conditions (MECs) appointments
-Supporting myopia management services
-Helping run one Hearing Care clinic per week
-Ensuring smooth patient flow throughout the store
-Delivering excellent customer service on a busy high street location
-Working collaboratively with the wider team to maintain high standards
What We’re Looking For
-Previous optical experience required
-Confident, approachable, and able to build rapport with patients
-A team player who enjoys working in a relaxed but professional environment
-Someone keen to learn, grow and take on new responsibilities
-Flexibility to work one weekend day each week
