Dispensing Optician Manager
Location: High Wycombe
Salary: Up to 40,000 bonus

The Opportunity
We’re supporting a busy, well-performing high-street optical practice in the search for a Dispensing Optician Manager. This is a key appointment following an upcoming departure, and the right individual will play a vital role in maintaining performance, leading the team, and supporting the continued growth of the business.
The practice is currently performing around 10% above budget, with strong dispensing values and a loyal patient base. You’ll be joining a joyful, close-knit team in a fast-paced environment where development, progression, and quality patient care are genuinely encouraged.
The Practice
- High-street location
- 2 testing rooms
- Approx. 9 staff members
- Mix of Dispensing Opticians, Optometrists, OAs, pre-regs, and students
- Modern, busy practice with strong commercial performance
- Monday-Saturday 9:00-5:30 (Sundays not required)
- Local parking available and good transport links
The Role
This is a hands-on management position, ideal for a qualified Dispensing Optician with leadership experience (or someone ready to step up).
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, motivating, and developing the team
- Supporting day-to-day practice operations
- Staff training, appraisals, and performance management
- Involvement in interviews, disciplinaries, and staff development
- Supporting KPIs and commercial performance
- Working closely with senior management to drive standards and growth
- Helping to build resilience and strength within the team during a period of change
About You
- GOC-registered Dispensing Optician (essential)
- Management or supervisory experience preferred (ASM or Supervisor considered)
- Confident, supportive leader who works well within a team
- Strong communicator with a calm, professional approach
- Passionate about developing people and improving processes
- Comfortable in a busy, high-performing environment
Package & Benefits
- Salary up to 40,000
- Monthly bonus ( 100- 400)
