Dispensing Optician – Stechford
Salary up to £30,000 + bonus | Full-time | Independent Practice

We’re recruiting for a Dispensing Optician in Stechford to join a small, established independent practice with a genuinely relaxed and friendly working environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified DO or experienced Dispensing Optician who enjoys taking their time with patients, working as part of a close-knit team and being involved in the full dispensing journey. The practice sees a high proportion of NHS patients, including lots of children but offer a great team and working environment
The role
The role will involve:
- Providing professional dispensing advice and helping patients choose the right frames and lenses
- Working with a varied patient base, including a significant number of children
- Managing the dispensing side of the practice
- Getting involved with frames, lenses and dispensing solutions
- Working with a range of products, including Essilor and brands such as Armani and Prada
- Supporting the practice’s myopia management offering
Who we’re looking for
Personality is particularly important here.
This would suit someone who is calm, approachable, patient and comfortable working in a relaxed environment. You don’t need to be a forceful or overly sales-driven personality – in fact, someone who is more collaborative is likely to fit the team particularly well.
You could be:
- A newly qualified Dispensing Optician
- A DO with several years’ experience
- A trainee DO approaching qualification
- Someone currently completing their pre-reg who is looking for their next step
The practice is open to supporting someone newly qualified, with salary reflecting the level of experience and what you can bring to the role.
