This is not just another Dispensing Optician job…
I’m working with a well-established, award-winning independent optical practice in Radlett that is looking for an experienced Dispensing Optician who has genuine ambitions to move into management.
The role
Initially, you’ll be working as a Dispensing Optician within a fast-paced, high-quality independent practice, delivering an excellent level of patient care and dispensing across a premium product range.
This is a mid-to-high-end independent practice, working with some of the industry’s leading lens manufacturers, including Hoya, Essilor, Zeiss and Shamir.
The practice offers a broad clinical service, including routine eye examinations, diabetic screening, glaucoma and retinal investigations, contact lens checks and new contact lens fittings.
Where this role can take you
The long-term plan is for you to progress into the Practice Manager position, taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the practice, team, patient experience and commercial performance.
You don’t necessarily need to be a fully-fledged manager already.
What matters more is that you’re an experienced Dispensing Optician who is ready for the next step, has good commercial awareness, understands what excellent customer service looks like and wants to take ownership of a practice.

Someone who is already a qualified and experienced Dispensing Optician, but who is now thinking of moving up
You might be a Senior DO who has been waiting for the right opportunity.
Or you might simply know that you’ve got the ability to run a practice but haven’t yet been given the opportunity to prove it.
