Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant
Being an Optical Assistant brings a lot of duties that you will be responsible for, here’s a look:

You must be able to dispense spectacles at all levels.

You must be able to conduct pre-screen and contact lens fittings.

You must be able to provide frame styling for customers in the practice.
-
You must be able to help out your team in other areas of the practice such as general admin during less busy times.

You must be able to meet the customers eyecare needs and give them constructive advice that will improve their general health.

You must take part in all necessary training that will improve the quality of your service.
Requirement of the Optical Assistant
To be successful within this role, it is required that you meet the following guidelines:

You must have at least 1 year(s) of experience serving as an Optical Assistant.

You must be able to dispense at all levels – Training will be provided.
-
You must have a friendly personality with a personal touch to your customer service.
-
You must be able to build a strong relationship with customers and colleagues alike.
