Something exciting is happening in South Sheffield. A brand-new, high-spec optical store is about to launch in Fulwood—and we’re looking for an Optical Assistant to help us bring it to life from day one.

As we prepare to open the doors to our newest practice, we’re on the lookout for a confident, experienced Optical Assistant who’s ready to take their next big step.
The Role: More Than Just Dispensing
As one of the first team members in our new Fulwood store, you’ll play a central role in creating the look, feel, and flow of our practice. You’ll be working alongside Becca (our Dispensing Optician and acting manager), supporting the optometrist, and helping to shape the patient journey from start to finish.
Here’s what your day-to-day might include:
- Delivering warm, professional, high-end service to every patient
- Supporting advanced pre-screening using the latest equipment (yes, we’ve got OCT and Optomap)
- Assisting with frame styling and lens selection for a discerning clientele
- Keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes and front-of-house
- Playing a key role in building a culture of quality, care, and clinical excellence
What We’re Looking For
We want someone who brings energy, pride, and purpose to their work. You’ll need:
- Experience as an Optical Assistant in a clinical retail setting
- Strong dispensing skills and a flair for styling
- A team-first mindset and the initiative to lead when needed
- A passion for premium service and attention to detail
