Salary: £26,800 per annum
Hours: Full time – 40 hrs a week
Days: 4-5 days
Location: Glasgow (Excellent transport links and nearby parking)
Are you a friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-focused individual looking for your next opportunity in optics? We’re working with a well-established and highly regarded optical practice in Glasgow that’s looking to welcome a new Optical Assistant to its friendly and supportive team.
Important Requirement:
You must have a minimum of 6 months’ experience working within optics. Applications without this will not be considered.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Dispensing and providing advice on lenses and products
- Pre-screening customers ahead of their eye examination
- Helping customers choose suitable frames
- Adjustments, collections and aftercare
- Working confidently in a busy, customer-focused optical environment
- Building rapport and delivering a friendly, personal service
What We’re Looking For:
- A genuine passion for customer service and helping others
- A friendly, approachable, and positive attitude
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Confidence working as part of a team
- Good IT skills and a willingness to learn new systems
- A proactive approach and the confidence to use your initiative
- An open mind and enthusiasm for developing new skills
