The Opportunity
A very exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Dispensing Optician to join a well-established optical practice in West London.
This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who enjoys quality dispensing, takes pride in their clinical knowledge and wants to work alongside an experienced, friendly and supportive team.

The Role
As the Dispensing Optician, you’ll play an important part in supporting patients and colleagues throughout the day.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering a high standard of professional dispensing and patient care
- Advising patients on suitable frames and lenses
- Taking accurate measurements and ensuring excellent fitting standards
- Providing advice and solutions for more complex dispensing requirements
- Supporting Optical Assistants with technical queries and dispensing knowledge
- Working closely with Optometrists to ensure smooth patient handovers
- Providing adjustments, repairs and ongoing aftercare
- Helping resolve patient queries confidently and professionally
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice
- Contributing to a positive, team-focused working environment
This is a position where your experience, clinical knowledge and ability to problem-solve will be genuinely appreciated.
Salary & Benefits
- Up to £36,000 basic salary DOE
- Monthly bonus potential of £200–£500, dependent on performance and achieving KPIs
- GOC registration fees paid
- 5 weeks’ annual holiday

Working Pattern
This is a full-time position with weekend availability required, working either Saturday or Sunday as part of the weekly rota.
What Are They Looking For?
To be considered, you’ll need to be a qualified, GOC-registered Dispensing Optician.
They’re particularly interested in somebody who has:
- Good experience working as a qualified Dispensing Optician
- Excellent dispensing and technical knowledge
- Confidence dealing with complex prescriptions and patient queries
- Strong problem-solving skills
- A friendly, professional and approachable personality
- A positive attitude towards teamwork
- A reliable and consistent approach to their work
- A genuine interest in providing high-quality patient care
Previous management or supervisory experience would be advantageous, although it isn’t essential.
Above all, they’re looking for somebody who will fit into an established team, support their colleagues and bring a positive attitude to the practice.
