We are delighted to be recruiting for a Dispensing Optician to join a long-established independent practice near Colchester.
This is a rare opportunity to join a genuinely patient-focused practice where you will have the autonomy to use your professional judgement, build lasting patient relationships and become a valued member of a close-knit team.
The Role
This is a full-time position working 35 hours per week across Monday to Saturday, with one weekday off and Sundays always free.
The practice has:
o One testing room
o A small, friendly team
o High levels of patient care
o A relaxed, professional working environment
o Parking available on site
You will be responsible for all aspects of dispensing, supporting patients throughout their journey and helping to maintain the excellent reputation the practice has built within the local community.

About You
o Qualified Dispensing Optician (newly qualified or experienced)
o Ideal for someone who drives due to location
o Friendly, approachable and patient-focused
o Strong communication and relationship-building skills
o Enjoys working within a small independent practice
o Management experience would be advantageous but is not essential
o Looking for a long-term opportunity where they can make a real difference
This vacancy has arisen due to a long-standing Dispensing Optician retiring after many years with the practice, making this an excellent opportunity to join a stable and highly respected independent.
