Optical Assistant WANTED!
Location: Independent – Aylesford
Salary: Up to 28,000 (depending on experience)
Contract: Full Time – 38.75 hours per week (8:45am-5:00pm)
Weekend Work: Saturday’s are required
The Opportunity
We are a longstanding, community-focused independent optical practice seeking an experienced Optical Assistant to join our team.
The Practice
” Small, friendly High Street practice
” 2 testing rooms
” 4 clinics per week (including NHS IP medical clinics and site testing days)
” Close-knit, supportive team environment
” Part of a respected national optical group with strong development opportunities
The Role
You will play a central role in the patient journey, supporting both clinical and retail operations.
Key Responsibilities:
” Confident dispensing to all levels
” Conducting pre-screening procedures
” Managing diaries and appointments
” Handling administration and patient records
” Supporting medical and site clinics
” Delivering exceptional, personalised customer service
This is a hands-on role requiring initiative, organisation, and confidence.
Ideal Candidate:
” Experienced Optical Assistant
” Confident and competent in dispensing
” Comfortable with pre-screens and administrative duties
” Highly organised and proactive
” Excellent communicator with a strong focus on patient care
