Optometrist – Full Time (Independent Practice)
Amersham – Buckinghamshire
Up to £65,000 DOE (Open to negotiation)
Full Time | 5 days per week | Every Saturday required
A highly regarded independent optical practice in Buckinghamshire is seeking an experienced Optometrist to join their established clinical team on a full-time basis.
This is a rare opportunity to work within a modern, patient-focused independent practice that places strong emphasis on clinical quality, professional development and long-term patient relationships.
The Practice
-Well-established independent with a strong local reputation
-Modern, high-street location with parking directly outside
-4 fully equipped testing rooms
-Advanced equipment including OCT, Optos, Phoropter, Visual Fields and Auto-refractors
-40-minute testing times with pre-screening completed for you
-Supportive, close-knit team of experienced Optometrists, Dispensing Opticians, Optical Assistants and management
The Role
-Full-time Optometrist position
-40-minute sight tests
-Approx. 12-14 patients per day
-Contact lens work required
-No dispensing responsibilities
-Every Saturday required (short clinic: 08:30 – 13:30)

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will:
-Be GOC registered
-Have a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in an independent practice, (or 5-6 years if coming solely from a multiple background)
-Be confident, clinically experienced and patient-focused
-Enjoy working in a high-quality independent environment
-Be a strong team player with excellent communication skills
Candidates with extensive clinical experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
Salary & Benefits
-Up to £65,000 DOE (Open to negotiation)
-28 days annual leave including bank holidays

Working Hours
Practice Opening Hours:
-Monday – Friday: 09:00 – 17:30
-Saturday: 08:30 – 13:30
-Sunday: Closed
This role is full time, 5 days per week, with every Saturday required.
