The Role
We are partnering with a well-regarded independent optician group in the Birmingham area, who are looking for a full-time Optical Assistant to join their committed team. This role offers the perfect balance of working within an independent practice that prioritises personal care, while benefiting from the structure and support of an established group.
You’ll be part of a modern, well-equipped practice where your contributions are valued, and your career development supported.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting patients and delivering exceptional customer service
- Dispensing glasses confidently across all levels
- Supporting pre-screening tests and assisting with contact lens appointments
- Advising patients on frame and lens choices
- Managing reception duties, including appointments and patient records
- Contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice
About You
- Previous experience as an Optical Assistant is essential
- Confident in dispensing and supporting patients of all ages
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Friendly, approachable, and professional
- A positive, team-oriented attitude with strong work ethic
