In-Store Trainer – Stevenage Area
Full Time – Salary up to £28,000

Role Overview
We’re working with a leading optician in the Stevenage area that has become the optician of choice within the local community. Known for their outstanding reputation in clinical excellence, customer service, and a strong team culture, this practice is looking to welcome a dedicated In-Store Trainer to help support the ongoing development of their optical team.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring every team member feels confident, supported, and equipped with the skills they need to deliver exceptional care to every patient.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging in-store training sessions to develop team knowledge, confidence, and consistency.
- Support new team members with onboarding, ensuring a smooth and positive integration into the practice.
- Identify individual and team training needs, creating tailored development plans.
- Work closely with management and clinical leads to maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism.
- Keep up to date with product knowledge, promotions, and industry updates.
- Encourage best practice and teamwork across both practices in the Stevenage area.
About the Practice
- Full-time role based between two well-established practices in the Stevenage area.
- Both locations offer modern, well-equipped environments — one with a relaxed, community feel and the other with a faster-paced dynamic.
- You’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team that includes 4 Dispensing Opticians, 1 Contact Lens Optician, and 2 Resident Optometrists, with a full pre-screening and testing team in place.
- Ongoing professional development opportunities available, with support for clinical or management pathways.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in optical retail as well as a similar training/coaching role.
- Strong communication and people skills, with a natural ability to inspire and motivate others.
- A passion for helping others grow and succeed in their roles.
- Organised, proactive, and confident in delivering both group and one-to-one training.
- A positive, team-first attitude and commitment to excellence.
