About the Role:
As an Optometrist with our Domiciliary Opticians, you’ll enjoy clinical freedom and the opportunity to visit patients in care home environments-far from the typical retail practice. You’ll be supported by an experienced dispenser, allowing you to focus on providing exceptional sight tests and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct sight tests for patients unable to visit high street practices, adhering to our standard operating procedures.
- Provide guidance on eye health, eyewear options, and frame selection.
- Supervise and support a team of optometrists, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Communicate test results and recommendations to patients, care home managers, and family members.
- Ensure all equipment is in working order and report any issues promptly.
- Participate in team meetings to identify areas for improvement and receive feedback.
- Occasionally manage all clinic responsibilities to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding company business, employees, and patients.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year of post-qualified experience (domiciliary experience is a plus).
- GOC and appropriate OPL/Health board registration.
- Strong knowledge of NHS and professional compliance.
- Calm under pressure with excellent listening skills.
- A forward-thinking, open-minded approach to change and improvement.
- Empathy and understanding in patient care.
