We’re currently working with a well-established, patient-focused optical practice looking to find a friendly and motivated Optical Assistant to join their welcoming team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive environment where customer care is at the heart of everything they do.
You’ll play a key role in delivering excellent service, assisting patients throughout their journey, and supporting the clinical team in a busy, community-focused setting.
YOU MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 12 MONTHS EXPERIENCE WORKING WITHIN OPTICS. IF NOT, YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY REJECTED
Salary: up to 26,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Full time – 38.5 hours per week
Location: Scotland
Experience: Dispensing to all levels
Responsibilities
- Assisting the Optometrist with triage and smooth patient handovers.
- Dispensing glasses with accuracy and confidence.
- Using OCT and diagnostic tools to support first-class patient care.
- Working closely with the team to deliver outstanding service.

Experience Required
- Previous experience working within an optical practice is highly desirable
- Confidence in dispensing to all levels.
- A passion for excellent patient care and strong communication skills.
- A positive, team-focused attitude
