OPTICAL ASSISTANT – GREATER MANCHESTER – OPTICAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
We are looking for a friendly and motivated Optical Assistant to join a small, well-established independent practice renowned for providing thorough, patient-focused eye care.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an Optical Assistant who wants to support high-quality patient care in a friendly and close-knit team environment.
Salary: up to £27,000 per year + bonus
Hours: Full-time | 4.5 days working week including Saturdays
Location: Greater Manchester
What’s on Offer:
- Competitive salary up to £27,000 per annum
- Annual performance bonus (dependent on store performance)
- Monday – Friday 09:00–17:30 (1 hr lunch), Saturday 0900-1230
- No Sundays
- 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Start date: ASAP
About the Store:
- High street location with free nearby car parking
- Small, friendly team (3–5 staff members per shift)
- 2 fully equipped test rooms
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Working in a practice where patient care comes first, helping ensure every patient has a personalised, positive experience.
- Assisting with dispensing, frame selection, and day-to-day optical operations alongside experienced Optometrists and qualified colleagues.
- Being part of a smaller, independent practice, where your contribution is valued and you can grow your skills.
- Joining a stable, community-focused practice with a loyal patient base and a strong local reputation.

About You:
- Some experience as an Optical Assistant is preferred
- A friendly, approachable, and patient-focused attitude.
- Willingness to be part of a team that values quality care and excellent service.
